Bill Braun is a trompe l’oeil artist who lives and works in Seattle, Washington. He sat down for an interview with Lost in Composition in early March of 2022. The recording of our interview is below. Following the video are a sampling of his works, links to the galleries currently representing him, and items discussed in our interview. I would like to thank Bill for allowing me to interview him, and for the use of his images.
Noteworthy callout… The painting used in the background of our video was professionally scanned and the image is posted below. In the video the staples and stars seem to reflect a little light; they do. No matter how good a digital image may be, art needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.

During our interview, Bill and I discussed commissions. We purchased our first commission from Bill. I still have the initial sketch of what we wanted and have posted bot the sketch and the outcome on this piece about commissioning art: Commissioning Art – Lost in Composition
